Types of Hair and Texture
La Filipina only produces hair products made from Filipino hair. We do not use European hair, Brazilian hair, Peruvian hair, Indian hair or Vietnamese hair. We focus our operations on Filipino hair so we can maximize its features.
European hair are mostly fine hair which suits for those who need fine hair that will blend with their fine silky hair. Other types of hair are coarse and some are very silky synthetic-like hair due to over exposure to chemical processing in order to hide the true texture of the hair strands.
The good thing with Filipino hair is that our clients have an option to choose from medium coarse to very coarse hair. These textures match and perfectly blend with African-American hair. Our client can feel its real bouncy ends, unlike other types of hair that has synthetic or plastic feeling to it.
However, La Filipina has a limited premium fine silky hair, which is almost the same texture as fine European hair.
Silky Hair Fine hair can be so soft and silky that it can actually feel like feathers. This type of hair has high luster and fine strands. |

Medium Coarse Hair This is the most common type of texture. Medium textured hair is neither super soft nor rough to the touch. Medium or slightly coarse are easier to maintain and blend well with natural pressed hair or relaxed textured hair. |
|
Coarse Hair Coarse hair usually does feel rough when you run your fingers down the shaft, compared to fine and medium textured hair. |

Very Coarse Hair This type of hair has thicker strands and is denser. You don’t need as many bundles because it holds curl better. Very coarse hair blends better with natural coarse hair. |
